The Only Mortal in Heaven — Episode 6: Marked by Him

Episode 6 moves to a pavilion perched above the clouds, ringed by trees in full bloom, a set no camera crew could ever build. There Angel finally answers him. Yes, she does it too. Angels trade mana so nobody starves. It is a duty, and she is not supposed to enjoy it. 'But with you, I'd want to try it for real.' William does not hesitate: 'I want that too.'

Her kiss is sweeter than he imagined, and soon the white lace and the shyness are both gone. Afterward she literally glows. Golden marks spiral across her skin, and she guesses it is too much mana, the same way Asmodea got her wings. Is she okay? 'Yes. That was incredible. And with a view like this.' They walk back hand in hand and run right into an archangel wearing a golden crown. Those shimmering new marks on Angel are impossible to hide.
